WCUCC 2019 | June 14th to 15th
The Western Canadian Undergraduate Chemistry Conference (WCUCC) is an excellent opportunity for chemistry and biochemistry undergraduate students to discuss research with their peers, as well as chemists in academia and industry. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their research through a poster or a presentation. The event will also feature talks from three keynote speakers. The conference is supported by the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC). We hope that through this 1.5 day conference that we will inspire innovative research in undergraduate chemistry students!
UBC Okanagan is located in Kelowna, British Columbia on the unceded territory of the Okanagan Syilx Nation. Kelowna is in the heart of the Okanagan Valley -- the wine capital of Canada -- and is home to 130,000 people. The campus is conveniently located 5 minutes away from Kelowna International Airport, and 10 minutes from downtown. UBC Okanagan is home to some 10,000 undergraduates, and 470 faculty members.
Any undergraduate wishing to present a poster or give a presentation of their research should submit an abstract of their research. Any research pertaining to chemistry and biochemistry will be considered.
Registration for this event is $60, which includes two coffee breaks, breakfast, lunch, and a dinner. As well as a reception, and a tote bag filled with lots of merchandise.
The Campus is located just off of Hwy 97, and is a few minutes away from YLW. Lodging is available on campus, as well as in AirBnB's across the town. Room bookings are also available on campus, see the accommodations page for more.

Q: If I want to present a poster and give an oral presentation do I have to register twice?
A: No, one registration fee allows you to present both.
Q: How should I submit references on my abstract?
A: ACS style. Just paste them below the abstract text. If you have any issues with this, please email us.
Q: When is the deadline to register?
A: May 31st for abstract submission, and accommodations. Registration payments close June 5th.
Q: How do I pay for accommodations?
A: You'll be paying through our Eventbrite page.
